A guide to services & premisies for disabled people - Banks & Building Society's

Herefordshire LINk are working with Hampton Dene Primary School to help raise awareness of the importance of Dental Care.

A Dental Hygiene week will take place at Hampton Dene Primary School in December. Pupils will be involved in a number of activities including writing stories about their experiences of visits to the dentist, preparing a survey to question their families and friends on access to dental care and reporting on findings to share with the LINk.

Penny Minchin of Oasis Dental Care, Pool Farm Dentist will give a presentation on how to care for your teeth and competitions will be run for school pupils during this week.

The Hospital Sub Group have commenced their programme of Enter and View visits to wards at Hereford Hospitals Trust. The focus of these visits has been to obtain information about care on wards and to look at patient satisfaction.

Announced visits have been made to Teme, Frome, Wye and Lugg wards. Reports are now available to view in the LINk Work section of the website. Click on Link Reports.

The LINk have recently visited the Maternity Ward and Day Surgery. Reports will be uploaded in the near future!

The Hospital Group are also working with the Royal National College for the Blind (RNCB) looking at signage at Hereford Hospitals Trust.

The Group recently received a presentation from Denise Hannagan of the Hereford Thyroid Support Group and are working with Denise to help raise awareness of thyroid conditions. Allan Lloyd, Chair of the LINk Hospital Working Group and Denise Hannagan, founder of the Hereford Thyroid Support Group will be live on Sunshine Radio on Friday, 22nd October after 8.15am. Tune in if you would like to find out more!
