LINk NEWS

The Hospital Sub Group have had several meetings since their initial meeting in August where they decided upon its priorities for the forthcoming year.

At their meeting on 21st September, the group met with Hospital Trust Representatives Alan Dawson, Associate Director of Business Development and Steph Chomondeley, HHT PALS and Patient Services Manager. The Group has arranged further meetings with other Trust staff and clinicians to discuss items in further detail.

On Monday, 19th October the representatives of the Group met with clinical staff to discss Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI's). An article will appear in the next LINk Newsletter.

On 22nd October, Dr Vicky Alner from HHT came along to discuss Hospital Discharge Procedures with the Group.

At the meeting on the 19th January it was announced that the presentation from Tim Tomlinson on Stroke Services had been scheduled for 15th March 2010 at 2pm

Forthcoming enter & view visits were also discussed at the meeting. The focus for these visits is to be patient satisfaction.

The Social Care Sub Group is now set up and have held further meetings since their initial meeting where they established priorities for their work plan.

Herefordshire LINk have been getting out to the Market Towns to find out what people think about local health and social care provision.

The final roadshow for Summer 2009 took place on 22nd September 2009 in Bromyard.
