LINk NEWS

Herefordshire LINk is currently looking at the provision of Care at Home in the county in line with national publicity where concerns have been raised, particularly relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and dignity and respect.  The LINk would like to hear about your experiences of Care in the Home - good or bad, so that they can feed these findings to the commissioners and providers of these services, and where necessary make recommendations about any improvements that are needed or highlight good practice that can be shared.

The LINk have produced a survey to find out what people think of the services they receive and to ascertain what is working well and what needs improving.   The LINk hope to establish what services are being provided in the county and whether there are any improvements that are necessary to ensure that care is of the highest standard.

Your experiences and views matter!  If you would like to complete a survey or take part in a face to face interview, please contact Sarah Epps at Herefordshire LINk at sepps@herefordshire.gov.uk  or by telephone:  01432 383764.

Herefordshire LINk has completed projects related to Mental Health Care, care in Residential Nursing Homes, Hospitals and Young People's Access to Health Care.  Reports are available on the LINk website and have been submitted to service providers with recommendations for improvements.  Recent training has provided the opportunity for visit team members to update their skills.

If you would like to get involved with health projects, contact Esther Grisenthwaite egrisenthwaite@herefordshire.gov.uk
